After recovering from my fractured arm for a week (and enduring a full day wedding with a remote shutter release on it), finally I got back out to have a shoot with local New Brighton legend Ned Simpson… and where else but Thomson Bowl. Here in Christchurch there’s a growing, vibrant skate scene. One of the key players in getting young skater involved are the Cheapskates Skate Skool. They organise and put on regular competitions and jams throughout the city and Canterbury region. I headed over to Hornby for one of their events recently to capture some of the action.
