I love guiding couples for their pre-wedding photo sessions in the breathtaking South Island of New Zealand. With my extensive knowledge of the area, I can schedule shoots at the perfect location and time of day, ensuring that we capture the best possible shots. I take pride in my ability to bring you to locations that other photographers may not know about, and my goal is to create stunning photos that will tell the story of your visit to New Zealand.

I offer a range of popular packages that include transport from your nearby accommodation. Depending on your preferences, we can combine multiple packages to create a full-day or multi-day shoot. With my expertise and experience, you can trust that you will receive exceptional service and a photo collection that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Wanaka

Tour around the lakeside of our hometown of Wanaka. You’ll be presented with magical views from the water’s edge up to the mountains any way you look.

Queenstown

Head up into the mountains of the adventure centre, Queenstown. We’ll visit some more remote locations away from the crowds, looking out to some of the most breathtaking scenes in the area.

Tekapo

Explore the famous Lake Tekapo. We’ll begin near the town lakefront and make our way up the side of the lake to some more secret locations, revealing sweeping views of the mountains.

Mt Cook

Get right up into the wilderness, venturing about the shores of Lake Pukaki before being surrounded by the giant Southern Alps. Home to some of the best golden light on a good day!

FAQs

  • All seasons have something special to offer here. Summer is warm with late sunsets, Winter brings a snowy landscape, Autumn brings calm weather and rich colours, and spring with green hills and often still snow about. October through to December are usually our most unsettled months with regular wind and rain.

  • If it looks we'll be battling heavy rain during our shoot, I like to keep the following day as a back up, or we can consider a different location. We would make the call the day before as the weather systems in New Zealand are very hard to predict until 24 hours out.

  • Yes! We can organise hair, make up, flowers and helicopter flights. If you're looking to hire a gown and suit, Nemo Workroom over in Queenstown can help you out.

  • Yes! You can combine packages as long as we have time to do them including travel time between locations. Alternatively, we can plan out locations over multiple days. Contact me to discuss.

  • The furthest distance is Queenstown to Tekapo or Mt Cook which is just over 3 hours of driving one way. Wanaka is 1 hour from Queenstown, and Mt Cook 1.25 hours to Tekapo.

  • Lupins have a very short window of being in bloom, often in late November to early December.

  • For my Tekapo package, we can include a 30 minute session outside the church for an additional $100 fee. This can only be booked as long as no other weddings or services are occurring at that time. Sundays are closed for photography.

  • Yes! For additional coverage (allow approximately 1-2 hours extra) we can do a starry night session after dusk in the final location for the day. All locations have low light pollution, and obviously we need a clear night. We often call this on the day.

  • Every shoot varies, simply put you'll receive all of the good photos I take. For a half day session I often deliver 300+ finished photos.

Pricing in NZD and subject to change. Travel may be additional unless stated in the package. Once booked, pricing becomes fixed. Booking requires agreement to my standard photography contract, and a 33% date reservation fee payment, with the remaining balance due the week before your elopement date. In the case of your elopment being postponed due to COVID, your date reservation fee is non-refundable but is fully transferrable and will be applied to your new date.
