What an absolute pleasure it was to not only meet Rachel & Ben, but also to plan and execute a stunning Roys Peak heli elopement for them. We did what we do best and crafted together all the elements of a great Roys Peak heli elopement; photography, hybrid video, celebrant, helicopter, make up, hair and flowers. Having come over from Australia, and basing themselves out of Wanaka, we worked through a bit of a weather pattern (not uncommon here) to line up a beautiful window up at Roys Peak, or locally known as Coromandel Peak. Family joined us at the apartment while getting ready, then we departed for the airport bringing 2 close friends and support crew, as well as our celebrant Anna.
Vibes high, good tunes cranking. Capturing both photo and video for their elopement, we were able to capture their special moments not only as stills, but also in motion. Views out across Lake Wanaka just kept going. Their epic, heartfelt ceremony felt right at home on top of the mountains. Laughter, tears and memories, followed by an excellent champagne spray and more adventures. We couldn’t have hoped for more, everything lined up and Roys Peak certainly delivered.
