How I see the world
I’ve seen a few things in my 18 years of photographing weddings. No two weddings are the same. Trends come and go, and among all the distractions the true essence of a wedding is a celebration of love. No matter what.
I tend to be less drawn to compressed wedding timelines and spending hours away from guests, and more drawn to the people and personalities of your day, they’re the people who are close to you. The true interactions, the moments and the connections. Oh, and let’s make sure you have time to just soak it all in and spend time with these people.
I’ve always seen myself as a documentary, candid photographer, however if I’m honest I thrive in creating moments as well. There’s direction, vision, and artistry. But it’s in a very natural way where your personalities will always shine through. Almost everyone has reservations of being in front of the camera, and I take pride in creating a personalised photo experience that will allow you to let your guard down and be your true selves.

More than just on the day
When you hire me, you get 110% of me. While I’m there as a photographer first and foremost, I’m also there to guide you during the lead up and through your day. Assisting with your vision, guidance on your timeline as well as logistics and transport, wet weather plans, location scouting and connecting with vendors.
Adventure ready
I’m at home in the outdoors and thrive in adverse conditions. Keeping you comfortable is key. I’ll work efficiently when it’s freezing cold, I can help you up steep inclines to get to the hero spot, I can zhuzh your dress so it’s looking it’s best, and help with those tricky boutonnieres and details.
Enthusiasm provision
More than anything, I’ll bring enthusiasm and energy to the table. A little hype, but not the annoying kind. It’ll be enough for you to smile a little more, connect with each other a little more and ultimately have an unforgettable photo experience. I’m just as invested in your photos as much as you are.
With hybrid video
We also offer a hybrid photo + video experience. Just me. One camera on the day, less production feel, and delivering double the memories in my signature documentary adventure style.

Where do you travel?
Home for us is Lake Wānaka, in the South Island of New Zealand, a perfect wedding destination for Wanaka wedding photography. Being based in the Southern Alps we can easily get to some more epic wedding destinations below.
Queenstown Lakes
This region encompasses Queenstown, Wānaka, Glenorchy, Arrowtown and Gibbston Valley. All within about an hour drive. With international airport in Queenstown it makes a great choice for wedding parties on tour.
Mackenzie Region
The Mackenzie includes Aoraki / Mt Cook, Lake Pukaki, Lake Tekapo and Lake Ōhau. Snow capped mountains, turquoise lakes and the infamously short lupin season are all big draw cards to have your wedding here.

Our Wanaka wedding photography packages are based not so much on time, but sections of the day you would like to have covered. We tend not to watch the clock too closely as it takes away from your wedding experience. Pricing below gives an indication of our starting rates here in Wanaka. From there we can build your bespoke package with the likes of hybrid video, a second shooter, or travel.
Half Day
