Let’s Elope off the beaten path
If you’re looking for epic 4WD elopement packages and enjoy the outdoors as much as we do, then you’re in for a wild ride. Being an avid off-roader and wedding photographer, alongside Lisa who is an ace planner, it only made sense for us to combine this all together to create an experience for adventurous couples.
Our local tracks are out the back of Wanaka or Tekapo with killer views over the lake. Being on private land, there are no interruptions either. Once the trucks turn off, the silence is like no other. Our off-road elopement experiences last from 2-4 hours. In fact, we don’t watch the clock too closely.
We’ve taken into account everything you need to get married via 4WD. Simple. You choose a date (along with a following backup weather date because that’s how we roll!), choose a private off-road location, get yourselves dressed up and we’ll do the rest. We’ll take care of your celebrant, photography, driver, make-up, hair, flowers, champagne and landowner permission.
Our Process
Lock in your date
We’ll plan your elopement with both a primary and backup date so you’re covered in the event of bad weather. We’ll also provide local guidance on what to expect at that time of year in terms of climate and scenery.
Choose your location
Our 4WD elopements depart from Wanaka or Tekapo. Some tracks are closer by if you’re wanting to keep the drive time shorter, or we can do a full 4 hour adventure. We’ll provide pricing upon enquiry below.
Sit back and relax
That’s what we’re here for! We’ll book everything in, introduce you to your vendors and create a run sheet for your day. All you need to do is decide what you’re wearing, where to stay, and to find your way to Wanaka.

Photography
Coverage of your elopement day with Andy, from getting ready, a first look / reveal if you choose, your ceremony, and adventure location session to follow. Andy will be your guide and hype guy for your day.
Planning
This is where Lisa steps in. She’s the master of sourcing and booking all of your vendors, and assisting with your timeline creation for the day. When the back up day mentioned above is activated with bad weather, we will organise and reschedule all of the vendors for you. Easy.
Epic location
We’ll get you to an incredible location for your ceremony, and make frequent stops along the way for more photos. We’ll also make sure we allow enough breathing room in between to soak it all in. Our 4WD elopements depart from either Wanaka or Tekapo.
NZ Registered celebrant
We have some local legends we work with. Each with their own flavour and personality to bring to your ceremony. They will guide you through the steps of what needs to be prepared, your marriage license as well as design your celebration to be as simple, or tailored as you like.
Hybrid Video (optional)
One of our strengths is to be able to offer both photo and video as a hybrid service. This means Andy shoots both on your day, meaning less camera presence, and resulting in an epic highlight film, edited to licensed music.
Hair & Make up
We work with some of the South Island’s best hair and make up artists. Sit back and enjoy the preparation. They will come to your accommodation and get you looking your best for your elopement day.
Flowers
Flowers add such a great vibe to your day, and our florist is a bit of a magician. We’ll work with you to have the bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere you’ve dreamed of, all crafted from seasonal availability.
Back up day
We all know what the weather is like in the alps, unpredictable. Make sure you book a couple of extra nights in Wānaka as with all of our packages, you get the following day backed up date and reserved in the case of bad weather.
With hybrid video
Optionally, we can offer hybrid photo + video to create a highlight film of your Adventure Elopement. This is Andy shooting both photos and video clips throughout your day, keeping the camera presence down, while delivering everything your moments in motion, curated and edited to licensed music.
