The classic kiwi summer. Pretty much exactly what Limin and Julian got to experience during their Wanaka pre wedding session. Visiting from Singapore, I was stoked to be able to offer them beautiful warm temps, a helicopter flight to Roy’s Peak, a super late sunset — even enough to get their shoes off and get in the lake. Erica & Reese are an amazing couple. Visiting our shores all the way from Boston via a cruise ship stopping in Port Chalmers, we decided to grab a Dunedin couples session while they stayed. Hoping for some cloud to soften the summer brightness, we were greeted with beautiful, moody weather and even a little rain right at the end. Venturing around the Dunedin hills and waterfront, this is some of what we captured...

The simplicity, the idea of doing life together and in the case of Emily & Theo’s Queenstown elopement, the adventure. From both NZ and the UK, these two came together in one of the beautiful places in the world to connect. Having shared their vows earlier in private, we ventured about the mountains later in the day as the sun began to set.

When remotely organising a Queenstown wedding, there are so many variables — with logistics and weather all playing a role either with or against your day. Victoria & Mark scored it pretty much perfect on their spring day, warm weather, sun out and an awesome atmosphere among their family and friends. We captured a couple of firsts as well, one being the first time I’ve caught a groom actually tripping over while swinging his brand new wife around on a mountain top, and the other with total confidence climbing a tree in a wedding dress. Philicia & Ryan’s Cardrona couples session was pretty flippin’ rad! Being an incredible photography and videography team themselves visiting from Australia, the pressure was on. We decided to catch the morning spring light and head into the majestic Cardrona Valley.
