So what exactly is an adventure elopement?
An Adventure Elopement. Think of it as a way of completely re-imagining your wedding day. It’s just the two of you, your celebrant/officiant, your photographer and a witness. With everything simplified, you get to focus on the important things. A location special to you, an activity that you love to do together, vows only meant for each other. The only limit here is your imagination.

Let’s compare to a more traditional wedding day. Everything is much simpler and stripped back to the essentials. No guest list, no bridal party, no dealing with multiple vendors, no seating plan, no readings, no speeches, no catering for your guests, no first dance in front of everyone. As much as I have the energy of a mountain goat on my photo sessions, I am definitely more on the introverted side. Having your own space and your own pace is something I know many couples will enjoy too. With weddings being great at putting you in the spotlight, elopements are perfect for getting away from it.

Let’s pretend you’ve planned the most epic day of your life with your loved one. Only catch is, you’re going to get married somewhere along the way. I work with couples from all over world, race, gender and lifestyle are what makes us all that much more unique. We’ll create a safe space on our sessions where you can be yourselves.

Photography
Coverage of your elopement day with Andy, from getting ready, a first look / reveal if you choose, your ceremony, and adventure location session to follow. Andy will be your guide and hype guy for your day.
Planning
This is where Lisa steps in. She’s the master of sourcing and booking all of your vendors, and assisting with your timeline creation for the day. When the back up day mentioned above is activated with bad weather, we will organise and reschedule all of the vendors for you. Easy.
Epic location
We have a range of options available either by helicopter or four wheel drive, all accessing an epic, exclusive location. Having our passenger licence also means we can pick up and drop off from your nearby accommodation so you can truely sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
NZ Registered celebrant
We have some local legends we work with. Each with their own flavour and personality to bring to your ceremony. They will guide you through the steps of what needs to be prepared, your marriage license as well as design your celebration to be as simple, or tailored as you like.
Hybrid Video (optional)
One of our strengths is to be able to offer both photo and video as a hybrid service. This means Andy shoots both on your day, meaning less camera presence, and resulting in an epic highlight film, edited to licensed music.
Hair & Make up
We work with some of the South Island’s best hair and make up artists. Sit back and enjoy the preparation. They will come to your accommodation and get you looking your best for your elopement day.
Flowers
Flowers add such a great vibe to your day, and our florist is a bit of a magician. We’ll work with you to have the bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere you’ve dreamed of, all crafted from seasonal availability.
Back up day
We all know what the weather is like in the alps, unpredictable. Make sure you book a couple of extra nights in Wānaka as with all of our packages, you get the following day as your back up and reserved in the case of bad weather.
With hybrid video
Optionally, we can offer hybrid photo + video to create a highlight film of your Adventure Elopement. This is Andy shooting both photos and video clips throughout your day, keeping the camera presence down, while delivering everything your moments in motion, curated and edited to licensed music.

All of our elopements are somewhat bespoke. This means we’ll gather your brief and learn about your vision, then we’ll suggest the perfect option for you. We’re based in Wānaka, but we regularly work in Queenstown, Mt Cook, Tekapo and beyond. Pricing below gives an indication of our starting rates — from there the sky is the limit. I’m Andy, an adventure elopement photographer, and I work closely with my wife and business partner Lisa to create unforgettable elopement experiences. Home for us is Lake Wānaka, in the South Island of New Zealand, the perfect base for the outdoors with the lakes and mountains at our doorstep. I’ve been photographing weddings since way back in 2008 and have a great understanding of how the dynamics of these days go.
